It was long thought that building 2 gw's was all that was needed up front on CB. Pos 1 and pos 2 would just get them on their cc's. The thinking was, those two gw's overlapped and nothing could get through. Essentually you get the bra effect btw the two boobs:
Well the truth is, they don't overlap. Infact there's about a dd's length gap btw the two. Hence the cleavage:

The green circles indicate the spots you can jump from, the red circle indicates where you can jump to. The blue probe circles are the gw's. After labbing this, you can actually jump a torp, dd or even a bc through that gap! Its quite easy to do if done right. You can jump from pos2 cc spot, or from pos 3 cc spot - but at pos 3 you gotta move your ship as far to the right as you can and use the edge of your hyperspace ring. You can only jump 1 ship at a time, otherwise the ships will jump side by side and get stuck in between the gw's. So if you wanted to jump 3 bc's, you have to jump 1 at at time to the other side.
I myself woulda called u a noob if u got a 2nd gw on your ms up till today. Its gonna be a while till enough people start realizing you can do this, so take advantage of it while u can! The best solution is for the guy at pos1 to get an mob for his cc patch, and move his cc inwards about 2 dd lengths to close up the gap. If your going to get a 3rd patch at pos1, you should probably be moving that cc to your 3rd patch, and getting a 2nd gw on your ms - that ms would be moved by your 2nd patch only inwards to close up the gap.
