Since this fossil old trick still works like a charm, I'd thought of writing how to actually counter it than how to do it... since it's not a magic to do this...(but if you don't know how to build just a col from ms and rest of 5 from cc, you can't still make the torp land at 4 minutes though...)

1) Scout/Probe

2) Figure out about early frig mod

3) Make 2 or 3 bombers first

4) Grav on one person, if you want, on 2 persons. Keep bombers on the side without grav.

5) Pwn it.

Damn, that was complicated... There should usually be a guy in charge of fighters...

But then again, just to trap this counter, I can also go not to make a torp with a fake frig mod, not even hyper mod or improved torp research, but just keep pumping more cols and start going advanced res mod or BC, while other side hurry for bombers and grav which ends up being built for nothing lol. This can pretty slow down other side without slowing you down much... Kinda nasty...
