Im playing Sins, happy will play for sure after he gets his new comp soon. Seen bunch of tfls+Sfs playing it. Some other xenomophs gona prolly play it.

Not all SF play. Check the Sins section at their forums to see who plays it and who doesn't ;)

I myself play Sins as well, haven't tried Multiplayer yet though. Heard the stories about quite some old faces from Hw2 showing up at Sins.

Overally nice game, only disappointment is the fact that games can take ages. Small maps take 3-4 hours for me. Medium maps at least 7 hours. Large maps probably could take weeks or even months to complete. Personally I like longer games but there are people who don't. Those people are usually the ones to quit first and leave the game unbalanced.

Patience aside, don't people sync (or hang up in more appropriate term)?

Even not due to bad network code, network can be unstable from time to time and people's connection can hang up occasionally if one has a poor ISP.

Does the game have any extra time to get a drink or something? or if you go afk 3 min during the 3 hours, are u gonna be omfgpwned?

The games i play last 20-60 mins. 1,5h max. Theres no time to be afk.

You can be afk a few min and be ok. You just gotta leave when it looks like you won't be attack for a short time. People do crash/sync too just like HW2. Really it happens for any game. Games do take a freaking long time I must confess.

It entirely depends on the sitauation in my opinion. Early game I guess 3-4 mins won't hurt. But later on, once people start to claim planets and gaining fleets, I suggest you pay close attention to your game. You need to organize your fleets and defence all the time. One weak spot can result is your downfall.

In order to reduce the possibility of syncs/crashes I suggest you try to organize and play a few games with trusted friends by LAN. This is how some SF play their games, and this way they have less crashes/syncs. If you want to play games by LAN (multiplayer -- online lobby like hw2 is Ironclad Online tab) get Hamachi, create/join a network and play games by LAN.
