So I was thinking, if you, newer demons, sit in the slow lobby and there's nothing going on, and you don't feel like leaving hw2, I've got some challenging practice for you. See how many allied expert comps can you take on by yourself using regular 6p maps - CB, SDC, Terah, and Imposed. Regular settings, except if you try to take on 5 on Imposed(good luck finding a way to win that map on 3k start).
It's a good practice on how well you can notice weaknesses and how much you can exploit them, and on some maps is also a very good multi-tasking training.

Do you have any tips to add for how one could go about beating 5 cpu's? (I've beaten 3 a few times on CB, tried 4 on some medium sized maps but got overrun w/ gunships and dd's). And do you build plats, or no?

-just remembered, it would probably help me if i took out the '-determcompplayer' command in my hw2 shortcut (makes computer players more determined - makes for harder matches).

I'll give you some tips:

- 5 allied expert cpus are beatable on all those maps without any 'nerfing' or 'undetermining' them
- it took 10k start to beat 5 on Imposed
- absolutely no plats, if you want to have any chance of beating them
- cpus have some weaknesses that, when noticed and exploited, make it possible to take on 5 of them and actually win

Already did that. As a matter of fact, I took on 5 expert cpus on the same team on TFL Bastion and won.

Mind if we compare the stats for say, Terah?

Never really bothered with it. Comps do not play like a human IE they will do things a certain way everytime.
The amount of stuff that gets thrown at you can make it interesting I suppose.

Fighting CPU's helps a player to learn how to counter rapid enemy ship production, but at in a predictable pattern

Fighting humans (as Doc said) will give more of a variety, and fighting cpus won always help you in that sense.

But it can be good practice, I've never beaten 5, only 4. Great for working on fast building skills.
