You gotta have all the scouts hit at same time though, DD EMP meter recharges really fast.

FYI 1000 ER [EMP Resist] on a DD, Scouts do 75 EMP damage per squad. 14 Scout squads will disable a DD if they are timed right.

its really cool against marines, if someone has that many scouts.
can even cap 2 dd close together.

Emping the marines themselves has saved my ass from capture more than once.

Also 4emp + a big swarm of lazers is extra fun against torpedo frigs. Frigs go idle, then poof, while hiig guy is going: wtf, gay. This is exactly why you should never mass torps to counter lazers. (go pulsar, force vay dud to build missle corvs).
