Quite fast double DD

Abstract

This is to make 2 destroyers in a quite fast way that's usually not possible without transfering.

Build

This is quite a strict build queue, so you must do it properly. First, 1 person gets a res mod on his MS while other person gets a cap fac on his MS. The res mod person gets double scout and 13 cols eventually as the cap fac person is rather hard on ru. The cap fac person gets only 11 cols at that moment and make sure cap fac does not lag. When both res mod and cap fac is built, transfer the res mod MS to the cap fac person. As soon as res is recieved, start DD research and transfer it back.

When the MS is transfered back, you will sell the res mod on that and start getting cap fac on it. About that time, the first cap fac person is done making 11 cols, 7 on MS patch, 4 on CC patch, so transfer the CC to the res mod person. And when the CC person gets the 13th col, transfer 1 to the DD person.

The res mod person gets cap fac and when its done, he transfers the MS to the cap fac person again, and he starts making double DD, while the person with 2 CC will start pumping fighters.

There will be a total of 24 cols included in this strat, so stick those in 3 patches and not 4 patches, as it will save a mobile refinery. DD person gets 2 mobs on his patches, and CC person makes a mob and places it at the 3rd patch and CC starts moving forward while getting grav, preferebly on both CC.

Execution

The DD should be done and ready to send at around 6th minute, making it before 7 min attack with double dd, which is very hard to counter with just advanced frigs, since marines just dont work on 2 dds at once. The MS should jump to enemy side and start moving in while pumping the first pair of DD followed by more, while getting cover from the CC fighter person. When 2nd wave of DD pumps out while the first 2 are still alive, the chance of winning is quite big. Even if they get a fast BC, by that time there will be 4 to 6 DD roaming in their base, choking their productions and ships.

Note

Make sure to get cloak on MS or if the cap fac dies, you will definately die. And fighter needs to be pumped out fast.

Prevention

There are quite a few ways to prevent this. For one, if other side goes hyper torp with interceptor support, there is nothing to kill them and you will lose. So, if they do that, the DD person pauses (but not cancel) DD and get fighters either ints or bombers to take care of it.

Second way is to go pure ints/bombers and alot of them. Since DD side's fighters arent that many, if other side goes half ints half bombers with the same amount of ints the DD side has, the bombers are free to take out the cap fac with a proxy or DD engine. If that happens, just hope you will do good, or just give up the strat before jumping in, but sit in back and just make more DD while making fighter covers.
